Balancing and harmonization of an individual’s biofield (English term: “Biofield Tuning”) Biofield Balancing/Tuning

According to Eileen McKusick (author, researcher, and practitioner who developed the method), Biofield Tuning is a form of *energy medicine. During a session, special therapeutic tuning forks that produce sound waves are used to work within a person’s biofield. In a standard session, the practitioner may use the handles of weighted tuning forks, and sometimes crystals, on certain meridians; however, most of the time the tuning forks do not come into direct contact with the body. Instead, the practitioner uses them to identify dissonant areas within the auric field. Using this tool, the practitioner identifies areas where the body’s energy may be blocked, trapped in energetic knots outside the body, or otherwise out of harmony. The sound waves stimulate a response in the body until the flow of energy is restored to balance, thereby supporting health and vitality. According to the theory behind this modality, the flow and balance of the body’s electromagnetic and subtle energies are important for physical, spiritual, and emotional health, as well as for overall well-being.

In accordance with the above, I understand and agree that when using this method, the practitioner does NOT “diagnose” or “treat” the physical body, as this falls within the domain of medicine and other related healthcare professionals. Instead, the practitioner works with the client’s energy or “subtle body”, which may facilitate change and/or transformation. The client may experience the altered energetic state during the session itself, with the effects potentially becoming more noticeable afterwards.

I understand that there is a difference between “energy therapy”, in which therapeutic tuning forks are used to balance or tune the client’s biofield, and the practice of medicine or any other licensed healthcare profession.

Biofield Balancing/Tuning Biofield Tuning may affect an individual’s emotional, spiritual, and even physical state; it may benefit health, although it is not currently recognized by Western academic, conventional medical, or psychological communities.

Energy medicine methods such as Biofield Tuning are considered “alternative” or “complementary” healing methods, and I understand them as such. BT is not a substitute for healthcare, medical, psychological, or other professional advice or procedures.

*Energy medicine is a commonly used term referring to various energy-based techniques, procedures, and methods. All of them, in one way or another, affect an individual’s energy. They seek to identify and balance imbalances within the energy system, thereby influencing the conscious mind, subconscious mind, beliefs, emotions, memory, etc.

Above all, it is based on the principle that the wisdom of the body is our best physician.
